Introduction
This isn’t a religious text. As the cover says, it’s the story of one man’s search, discovery and walk with God.
It isn’t filled with loads of spiritual material or an attempt to tell anyone else what they ought to believe. It simply tells of some of the ordinary — and not so ordinary — events that have happened to me along the way.
You’ll read about moments of love, anguish, serious illness, laughter, mistakes, questions, and most of all my search for and walk with God. Some of you may find parts of it interesting. Some may find bits helpful. Others may find it completely irrelevant. That’s entirely up to you.
I’m writing it because this has been my journey, and I think it is worth setting down as honestly as I can. I’m not trying to tidy it into something neater or more spiritual than it really was.
A word of warning. I must be getting older than I thought. Some of these events happened a long time ago. I have a pretty good memory and I’ve tried to be as truthful as possible, but I’ve always been terrible with dates. So if anyone wishes to correct me, particularly about dates or sequence, please feel free to contact me and I’ll endeavour to put things right.
